Users who are on a ROUTER will need to port forward WinMX to get a Primary Connection working correct..

Before we can start to Port Forwarding our router we need to establish what your LAN IP Address and your Default GateWay is and what what ports you have are WinMX on?.   To help you understand what your LAN IP and your Default GateWay looks like this is what mine looks like..

How you can tell if you have a blocked port or not ?

After you have finished port forwarding and added the same ports to WinMX, Exit WinMX Restart WinMX then make a primary connection.

Look at the top of the screen where it says WinMX v3.5*  P=*   S=*
It should look something like this WinMX v3.53  P=7   S=14, if yours looks something like that then you know your port is working and you have set it up right.

If it looks something like this WinMX v3.5*  P=7   S=0, that means you still have a blocked port it is the S=0 that tells up if your port is blocked or not.
After port forwarding your router you may need to flush the DNS.

1. Exit WinMX
2. Click on Start
3. Click on Run
4. Type in: cmd Click Ok
5. Black window will appear. Type in this: ipconfig /flushdns Press Enter
